Staten Island, NY– The Staten Island Yankees will be hosting next week’s NYPL All-Star game at the Richmond County Bank Ballpark at St. George and 5 Yankees have been selected to represent the American League. Along with skipper Josh Paul, Eduardo Sosa, Jose Mojica, Mikey O’Brien, Preston Claiborne and Chase Whitley will be among the participants. Sorry for the lack of posting lately but I have been very busy as of late. I have been tweeting about the SI Yankees from time to time on twitter.com/yanksyakkinblog. I will have an all-star game post after the game next Tuesday. Gates open at 3:00 pm, there will be a HR Derby at 4:00, autograph sessions for both teams and the game will begin at 7 pm.

Nice, five participants. Is the game supposed be a sellout? I’m just wondering how much hype a Single-A All-Star Game usually gets.
