MAKE IT FOUR! YANKEES SWEEP ABERDEEN

Lyerly Drove in the Winning Run in the 11th

Staten Island, NY–The Yankees took an early lead in the bottom of the first but it wasn’t enough as Aberdeen wasn’t going down with out a fight. The Yankees fought and fought hard as the comeback kids did it again in the bottom of the eleventh inning off the bat of Rob Lyerly (# 26 Pictured Above). After an hour rain delay the Yankees proved who was superior after a not so hot start to the 2009 campaign. The Yankees will try to make it five in a row when they play the Lowell Spinners (Class A Affiliate of the Boston Red Sox) at the Richmond County Bank Ballpark at St. George. It will be a mini rivalry between the A teams of both the Yankees and the Red Sox but with a little less ferociousness then there is at the big league level. Let’s Go Yankees!
