De ja vu all over again as Yankees drop home opener

Staten Island, NY– The championship banner was raised and the Staten Island Yankees took the field at home for the first time in 2012. Unfortunately their offense once again failed to show up as they scored all of one run on a home run from Saxon Butler. The Cyclones scored 4 runs and that was all the offense they needed as the Yankee bats were quieted for the second consecutive night. To go along with their single run the Yankees only had 2 hits throughout the ball game. With the loss the Yankees remain the only winless team in the McNamara division but are not alone in the New York Penn-League as the Batavia Muckdogs of the Pickney division are also winless. The Yankees take the field at RCCB again tomorrow night where temperatures are expected to reach 97 degrees!
